what we ate for dinner

bonchon korean fried chicken and pickled radish, russian fried potatoes with caramelized onions, Brussels sprouts with garlic cooked in duck fat, duck braised with port and dried figs, manhattans, whiskey(s) on the rocks, port, fresh strawberries and mascarpone “dip” (for lack of a better word), lobster truffle mac and cheese, turkish coffee (made from blue bottle coffee), hot chocolate from L.A. Burdick, cheese

while watching Julie and Julia.

mascarpone dip:

1 8-ounce container of mascarpone
+ 1 8-ounce container of cream cheese
+ 3/4 cup of white sugar
+ 3/4 cup of brown sugar
+ 1 teaspoon vanilla
= heaven.

I would post the duck recipe but I’m too full to move.
